Privacy Policy

Who we are and what this covers

Custom Golf Express is a Golf Team Products company. Golf Team Products operates this storefront. In this policy, “we,” “us” and “our” refer to Golf Team Products operating Custom Golf Express.

This policy describes information handled through the Custom Golf Express storefront, including browsing, customization, saved designs, accounts, checkout and customer support. Other Golf Team Products websites may have their own notices. Shopify also provides notices for its account, checkout and payment services.

This notice explains our practices; it is not a request for consent to every use of information. Where a particular use requires consent, that consent must be obtained separately.

Information we collect

  • Contact and account information: names, email addresses, phone numbers, account identifiers, and billing and shipping addresses you provide to us or through Shopify.
  • Orders and support: items, sizes, colors, quantities, prices, delivery details, payment status, order history and communications about your order. Payment credentials are entered through checkout/payment providers, not the customization editor.
  • Artwork and customization: uploaded logos and photos, text, crop selections, colors, placements, design previews and saved designs. These may contain personal information about you or other people.
  • Website-brand imports: a website address you submit and the brand names, logos and colors retrieved from that website or a brand-information provider.
  • Website activity: your IP address, browser and device details, and how you browse and use our store. See Cookies and analytics below for details.

We receive this information from you, your browser, Shopify and providers supporting the features you use. Only provide other people’s information or artwork when you have the necessary permission.

How we use information

We use information to operate the storefront, remember your selections, prepare previews, save designs, process and fulfill orders, arrange shipping, provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, diagnose problems, and understand and improve the shopping experience.

Order and design details also support our production and business records, including customization instructions and accounting. We use contact details for order-related messages and for marketing in accordance with your preferences and applicable law. You can unsubscribe from marketing without stopping necessary order or service messages.

Artwork, image tools and face detection

Uploading, importing or saving artwork can send it to our servers and service providers. We use storage and image-processing providers, including automated analysis tools, to prepare images, remove backgrounds and review logo quality. When you import your brand from a website, we send the website address you provide to brand-information services to look for its name, logos and colors. We may also retrieve that information from the website itself.

The “Detect faces” tool locates faces in your browser to suggest adjustable crops. It does not identify who a person is or compare faces against an identity database. That detection step does not upload the photo for face analysis. This does not mean the whole artwork workflow is local: original uploads, saved crops and order artwork may still be transmitted and stored through the normal design workflow.

Saved artwork and previews may be accessible through links used to display your designs, complete checkout and make your products. Anyone with an accessible artwork link may be able to view that image. Do not upload identity documents or other highly sensitive material, and avoid sharing artwork links you want to keep private.

Who receives information

Golf Team Products personnel and providers supporting the storefront receive information needed for their roles. These include:

  • Shopify and payment providers for accounts, carts, checkout, payments and orders.
  • Hosting, security and storage providers to operate and protect the storefront and store information and artwork.
  • Artwork and brand-information providers to process images, review logo quality and find brand names, logos and colors from a website you submit.
  • Analytics and diagnostic providers to help us understand storefront use and troubleshoot problems, including through session replay as described below.
  • Production, shipping, customer-support and business-system providers for making and delivering your products and maintaining order and accounting records.

We may also disclose information as required by law, to respond to lawful requests, protect rights and security, resolve disputes, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or sale.

Shopify also explains its account, checkout and payment practices in Shopify’s privacy policy. Following an external link takes you to a service with its own practices. Contact us if you have questions about providers that handle your information.

Cookies and analytics

Cookies and browser storage support sign-in, carts, design drafts and preferences. Guest designs and some choices are stored in your browser; signed-in designs may also be associated with your account. Clearing browser storage can remove unsaved local work but does not erase server-side orders or artwork.

We use analytics to understand visits and troubleshoot problems. This can include pages and products viewed, clicks, scrolling, the site that brought you here, technical errors, and cookie or similar identifiers. We also use session replay (recordings of on-page activity). When you sign in, this information can be linked to your customer identifier and email address; it is not necessarily anonymous.

Replay is configured to mask input fields. That is not a guarantee that every personal detail displayed on a page is hidden: custom text and images shown in previews may be visible outside input fields. Shopify checkout and account services may use additional cookies and technologies described in their notices.

Your browser lets you block or clear cookies and site storage, although doing so may affect sign-in, saved work and checkout. Browser settings do not necessarily stop all server-side processing. Contact us about privacy choices or objections using the details below.

At present, this storefront does not automatically change its analytics behavior in response to a browser’s “Do Not Track” signal. This statement is about that signal, not a limitation of any privacy rights provided by applicable law.

Retention, security and processing locations

We retain information for the purposes described here, including fulfilling orders, keeping designs available for your use, maintaining required business records, resolving disputes and preventing abuse. The appropriate period depends on the information and applicable recordkeeping requirements.

Removing a design from “Your designs” is not a request to erase all copies. That action can leave the design available for restoration and for orders or other records that reference it. To request deletion of personal information, contact us.

We use safeguards designed to protect information, but no system or transmission is completely secure. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate; their laws may differ from those where you live.

Your choices and privacy requests

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access to or a copy of personal information, correction, deletion or portability; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent where processing relies on it; or to opt out of certain sales, sharing or targeted advertising. Rights and exceptions vary by jurisdiction.

To make a request or ask about your rights, email us with “Privacy request” in the subject and describe your request. We may need to verify your identity or an authorized agent’s authority. We may need to retain some information to complete transactions, meet legal requirements or protect against fraud. We will explain applicable limitations in our response.

You may contact us to ask for a review of our response and, where applicable, appeal it or complain to the relevant privacy regulator. We will not discriminate against you for exercising rights protected by applicable law.

Children and changes to this policy

The storefront is intended for adult purchasers, not for children to place orders independently. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can review it. If you upload a child’s photo or name for a product, you are responsible for having the necessary parent or guardian permission.

We may update this policy when our practices or requirements change. We will identify the updated version on this page and provide additional notice or seek consent where required by law.
